A little insight into my ideas and thoughts on dipping my toes into content creation!

What?
A blog of sorts, and it's early so I am sure the concept will evolve as we progress. But there are a lot of amazing content creators for some of the games I play out there. So I have no intention of just doing what they do. My idea is to share tips, tricks, thoughts, and more on the games that have captured my heart and mind enough to keep me coming back over and over!
So what games is that going to be?
1. SWTOR (Star Wars The Old Republic) (Regularly played mostly solo and streamed every week)
This 14 year old game is truly something special for me. I absolutely love the stories, the characters, the whole package. Do not get me wrong, there are things if it were up to me I might change, but I think that the dev team has done something special with this one. While they had me at least enough to try the game because of my love for Star Wars, they have kept me around because they showed me a time period that didn't hold the constraints of the era the movies I grew up loving are set in. Once with rich lore, bigger than life characters, and while not that of the movies, still has the heart and soul of the universe that I have always loved. They gave me characters I would love and hate and everything in between and they set me on a path to becoming the greatest among them with stories that drew me into them while still giving me the freedom to create my characters (and I have a lot of them) in the ways I want to not just with looks but with actual choices that do impact the story!
2. Dune Awakening (Regularly Played some solo but working with a guild of friends and streamed every week)
This one is new, and to be honest my love for the franchise is still in it's infancy. That said, one watch of the movies (all of them), a read of the books, and I am just as hooked as I am with Star Wars! I was excited for this one before the Large Scale Beta, but once I got in and a chance to play, I was eager to keep playing. The wait between the beta and the early access felt like time stood still. I have heard a few grumbles about this one and everyone's opinion is just that their own and they are entitled to think what they do. For me, the change of the story/alternate universe doesn't bother me maybe I'm less attached making it easier to accept it? The other one I have heard is "this isn't the game I expected" and by all means we all form our own expectations, however, having been playing Conan Exiles from Funcom with the same friends I am now playing Dune Awakening with I think the game is everything I thought it would be so far, and possibly more to be honest. So it's going to be in my play list for the foreseeable future!
2. Anything Else...
For now mostly older games, Mass Effect, Star Wars Outlaws, Jedi Fallen Order & Survivor, etc. However, there are a couple of other games on the horizon that I am watching very closely for. The Next Mass Effect, Star Wars Jedi Game 3, and others. But there are two noteworthy ones that I have my eyes on and am going to not get too excited until I see what we get but I am hopeful they will deliver the awesome they promise. Those are Exodus from Archetype Entertainment and the other is Star Wars Eclipse from Quantic Dreams.
When?
I am going to try to get at least one post done a week but there may be more or there may be five one week and none the next. As the routine settles in I will be more likely to be able to set a real schedule.
Why?
I know there are already so many content creators, and let me say this before I go further, thank you! To every one of you who has a guide that saved me from getting stuck, helped me figure out a mission, or guided me when I was struggling. Every one with deep dives into lore that saved me the time and put all of that information in one place for me. The ones with guides to help me learn to fight better or craft better, or more efficiently. The ones with databases and checklists have been amazing help. That said in one case the game is 14 years old, but a lot has changed there is a lot of old outdated information around alongside what is kept up to date. I have no desire to rehash what is easy to locate but there are gaps where I could not find what I needed that I hope to help for others. In the other case, Dune Awakening is new, if ever there was a time to jump on board and do something that's clearly got to be it. I will share what I can alongside my learning curve and who knows maybe later I'll be in a place to build something like those guides or sites that helped me along the way in SWTOR!
